  • I specialise in ‘People’ Insurance for Business Owners & Professionals.

    With a degree in Economics from UQ, as a 20-year-old I followed my father’s footsteps into the Insurance Industry. I worked for a large Insurer as part of their Graduate Program, which provided great exposure into many different aspects of the business, from the ground up.

    With this foundation, and now close to 30 years later as a business owner and Adviser, I’ve learned so much about helping clients help themselves to make important decisions with clarity and confidence. Feedback I often get is that I’m ‘good at making the complex, simple’. Great, I’ll take that!

    Many Financial Advisers do some Insurance, but not many specialise to the level I do. Data from a recent study reported that “Across Australia, there are now around 150 ‘pure risk’ advisers. In other words, less than 1 per cent of the retail advisers in the country fall into this category”.¹

    I know that I’m one of a rare breed.

    I have clients from many different industries and have always had a special interest in the insurance needs of Veterinarians, having worked closely with Vets since my career began. It’s rewarding after many years and many happy clients later, to still be getting nice feedback from new Vet clients saying : Justin Ward quote – “for the first time I think I understand my Insurance”

  • We have no alliance or allegiance to any insurers, although we know the ones who do it better. We always put your best interest first.

  • Fortnum Private Wealth, a subsidiary of The Entireti Group, holds the Australia Financial Services Licence (AFSL). Fortnum is one of the largest adviser networks in Australia.

  • All new clients and referrers are offered a free 20-minute initial phone meeting. I will discuss your needs and provide a fixed fee quote.

  • Once we have access to all necessary information, we aim to review and report within a week. Formal recommendations take around three weeks.

  • Yes, we can work with financial advisers or accountants for the initial stages of a review.  I have an obligation to ‘know your client’ and recommendations can only be provided to the client, when the above is met.
